Passengers January-September 2013
Eindhoven Airport achieved passenger numbers of 2,628,000 over the first three quarters of 2013 (compared to 2,323,000 passengers in the same period of 2012), which is an increase of 13% in comparison to the first nine months of 2012.
In the period from January to September, 2,489,000 scheduled passengers were carried to and from 56 scheduled destinations, which is a growth of 14%. In the same period in 2012, 2,175,000 scheduled passengers were carried to and from 47 scheduled destinations. On balance, this shows an increase of 9 scheduled destinations; that is to say, 11 new destinations (Agadir, Bologna, Bordeaux, Chania, Cluj, Copenhagen, Debrecen, Fes, Madrid, Naples, Skopje) and 2 destinations that have been cancelled (London City, Prague).
The number of holiday charter passengers decreased by 5% up to the third quarter of 2013: 133,800 passengers compared to 141,400 passengers in the same period of 2012.
Passenger numbers in 'general aviation' air traffic – mostly business charters on an occasional basis – decreased by 30% (4,845 passengers in 2013 compared to 6,904 passengers in the first nine months of 2012).
Aircraft movements January-September
Over the period of January to September 2013, 20,478 aircraft movements were performed, which is 8% more than in the same period in 2012 (19,036 aircraft movements).
Year forecast 2013
For the full-year 2013, Eindhoven Airport expects a passenger number of 3.4 million, which means a growth of 14% in 2013 (2012: more than 2.9 million passengers). Air traffic in 2013 is expected to come in at 26,630 aircraft movements, which is 10% more than in 2012 when 24,265 aircraft movements were performed.
