Nice

The ‘Queen of the Côte d’Azur’ is sheltered by hills full of vineyards, while the Mediterranean Sea lies at her feet. She is centuries-old but yet majestically beautiful. An hospitable lady who does everything to make your visit as pleasant as possible…

Boulevard

Nice was ‘discovered’ as a seaside resort early in time. Under the influence of English tourists, a long boulevard was already constructed in 1822: the Promenade des Anglais. Over the years, more and more wealthy foreigners found their way to Nice. Various beautiful buildings were constructed along the Promenade.

Pop art

In the centre, narrow alleys invite to a city walk. Traffic is not allowed here, so there is plenty of space to enjoy the baroque churches and one of the many museums. Especially the MAMAC (Museum of Modern Art) is popular. Abstract art and pop art are widely represented. Another attraction is the Russian cathedral which was built at the order of Tsar Nicholas II.

Culinary

Those who feel like a snack after shopping, strolling and sunbathing, have plenty of choice. Italian influences have enriched the Mediterranean cuisine in the region. It includes, for example, socca, a pancake made of chickpea flour and olive oil. It is a tasty and cheap snack. But that is also true for salad Niçoise, the best-known dish of the city.
