Travel tips
Vaccination
Do you have travel plans? Please be informed 4 to 6 weeks before you leave about the necessary vaccinations. Please contact GGD or the Landelijk Coördinatiepunt Reisadvisering. By phone in Holland 0900 9584 or ask The Travel doctor.
Travel doctor
You can find the Travel Doctor on the first floor of the airport. This is a medical service point comprising general practitioners and assistants where travellers can obtain their vaccinations, amongst other things. In addition, this is the place for a medical check-up, mosquito net, first-aid kit and useful tips.
Visit www.traveldoctor.nl for further information.
Film & photo
The modern X-ray security equipment at Eindhoven Airport will not damage your photo/film equipment.
Mobile phones
Electronics
The use of electronic items inside the aircraft is restricted. For example, personal stereo systems or portable computers may not be used sometimes during the flight (they can interfere with the aircraft's navigation equipment).
Special meals
Special meals for medical or religious reasons, vegetarian meals and baby meals can be provided at no extra charge. Please advise the airline or your travel agent well in advance.
Departure times
When you make your reservation, you will be told when you are required to check in for your flight. The time shown on your ticket is the time the aircraft is scheduled to leave, not the time you need to check in. Allow ample time for pre-boarding procedures, especially during busy periods such as weekends and public holidays: flights will not be held for passengers arriving late.
Unaccompanied minors
Children up to 12 years travelling alone are accepted by most airlines subject to certain conditions. Check with your airline or travel agency.
Babies
Airlines limit the number of babies on each flight. Some provide special seats or cots for children under two years old. Check with your airline well in advance. Baby-changing facilities are available in the airport terminal.
