Assistance for disabled and reduced-mobility persons.

Eindhoven Airport provides special services for disabled and reduced-mobility persons in order to ensure a comfortable travel experience. The following explains how to obtain assistance when travelling to and from the airport, the locations of various facilities and other relevant information.

Need assistance? Request it early!

If you require assistance, it is important that you make this known as soon as possible. When reserving a flight, inform your travel agent or the airline of your needs.
The request for assistance must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to your departure (or arrival) time.
Relevant assistance, such as wheelchair service, will then be available to you at the airport on your arrival.  This assistance will be provided by a member of the airport assistance staff.
If necessary, you can be picked up from or taken to various locations within Eindhoven Airport by a member of our staff.  You must state the desired location when you request assistance. If you need to be taken to a specific location, you must arrive at Eindhoven Airport at least 2 hours prior to your departure time.
You can be picked up from or taken to the following locations:
• P1 car park, which has special parking spaces for cars with disabled parking permits. These spaces are indicated by the international symbol for the disabled. They are the first parking spaces on the left side when following the ‘arrival and departure’ signs. On arriving at the car park, you can notify the staff using the intercom if you arranged to be picked up when making your reservation.
• Bus stops: you can notify the staff of your arrival by calling the Eindhoven Airport information desk number at +31 (0)40-2919818.
• Information desk in the departure hall of Eindhoven Airport.
For all other questions, contact the information desk at Eindhoven Airport: Info@eindhovenairport.nl, +31 (0)40-29 19 818

Parking for disabled and reduced-mobility persons
The P1 car park has special disabled parking spaces. We ask that you make sure your disabled parking permit is clearly displayed in the windscreen. When returning to Eindhoven Airport after your trip, bring your disabled parking permit and parking card to the information desk and you will be charged the lowest parking rate (for long-term parking).

Wheelchairs

If necessary, wheelchairs are available for use at the airport. You can also take your own collapsible wheelchair (without battery) with you on your flight free of charge. We recommend that you inform your travel agency or airline well ahead of your departure time that you wish to use this service. We also ask that you check in early so that the wheelchair can be secured for the flight.

Facilities within the terminal
Eindhoven Airport has lowered kerbs, disabled parking spaces and disabled toilets to provide easier accessibility for disabled and reduced-mobility persons.

Special requirements

We wish to point out that some airlines have special terms and conditions. For example, wheelchairs with ‘wet’ batteries are usually not permitted on airlines. That is because they fall under the category of hazardous substances. There are also sometimes restrictions regarding wheelchair dimensions. If you wish to transport a wheelchair by air, the airline must often be informed of this at least 72 hours prior to departure. Make sure to obtain all necessary information from your travel agent or airline and check their websites.
